Sonnet Response.
Sep. 1st, 2006 05:36 am.....Greetings (Mush Alert!),
.....If someone had told me six months ago that I would be where I am today I would have looked at them as if they had just eaten a bug. I am just amazed at just how lucky I am and how blessed my life is at the moment. One can go many years, or a lifetime, without having experienced love. But being in love I never want it to end.
.....It was difficult to sleep, so I spent some time producing the below poor response to the last volley in the Sonnet Wars.
I was surrounded by high walls of stone
Rock and steel made thick and impervious
Inside this cold dark box I stood alone
By living life that was vicarious
With fire she blazed on a steed furious
Walls crumbled into dust at her assault
Her army of will was victorious
Advancing purpose that no man could halt
My heart was bared and open as a vault
When love passed in and filled that empty space
My eyes filled with tears her grace could not fault
As I was struck by beauty from her face
Consuming my life as a phoenix bright
Love now shines and gives out a mighty light.
.....Written in a Spenserian format.
.....With Love, Aaron / Arontius.
