.....Greetings All,

.....Marquessa Laurellen and Sir Richard recently combined to renew my desire to create sonnets. :-) I pulled out a half completed one sitting on my bedside table and finished it today. I had almost forgotten how much fun they are to do. The ritual dance of words can hold a very deep meaning if allowed. Almost spiritual really. But enough crap, here's the sonnet... :-)

She journied on this craft of Laurel wreaths,
Leaves of green and black a protecting cope.
As sulpherous hot water under seethes,
Demanding unravelment of hope.

This dark maid of Persephone stands tall.
She only gazes forward from the prow.
The vapors that grab and clutch try to pall,
Seductive hands beguile with a soft vow.

Her soul is tightly walled with towers high,
Forever on her guard against attack.
A strong and steady flame will never die,
On a path where resolve will never lack.

Hard-hearted Hades holds her in restraint.
But for love only she endures this taint.

.....Hope everyone is having a good Wednesday. :-)

.....Arontius / Aaron.
