Wednesday Catching Up.

.....So, one would think that the wait staff at Azteca's would recognize that SOMETHING was amiss when I had my fourth or fifth BIRTHDAY in a year there. Wouldn't you? I'm still not sure whether it was Cedric that told them this or whether it was Jenae. I just cannot seem to figure out how to get them back. :-) Of course, the staff just loves it when I turn fifty shades of red before their very eyes, like some magic trick. The assembled crowd just laughs their hind ends off. Sigh!

.....Starting to feel a little better, or at least I slept a little better last night. Maybe I can get something done tonight for a change. Would like to get my arms around a final 'to-do' list for KAS and sit down with Her Excellency Brighid and go over it. We're on track, but not quite as organized as I would like to be. I firmly subscribe to the 'It will happen. How? It's a mystery.' philosophy. But I personally like to have a little back-up documentation to convince me that the 'mystery' is going to resolve itself. :-)

.....TBT displayed her artwork to the Barony last night. Everyone was excited about it. But it was interesting to note that the people who got truly excited about it were the older players. TBT and I were talking about it and we came to the conclusion that those who've been around a while recognize how little of our history we've manage to capture and how important it is to do just that. Those who are relatively new to the game don't see the history and investment in the game just yet. That's neither bad nor good, just interesting to note.

.....It was our Baronial Business Meeting last night and someone actually came up to me and volunteered to be 'Constable' at June Faire. She hasn't done this job before but has read the Constabulary Manual(s) online and still was not scared off by them. Man, I'm rather impressed. Although OFFICIALLY, the constabulary is still defunct in the Kingdom, I'm thinking that it will be an excellent idea to have a Safety Watch at June Faire. Our candidate is smart and hard working, so if we can get this person connected to all the right people, we might have something good for June Faire. It might be a new crowd, but I don't see anything wrong with that. New people, new ideas, new attitudes.

.....Just wish our former 'Constable' would come back and connect. If nothing else, it would be nice to get the Baronial Radios for use. The Barony bought a new set last year. They were relatively inexpensive as far as such things go. But I'm getting awfully tired of seeing the train of stuff going into this officer's house and never again being seen by the Barony.

.....Enough whining, time to go to work. Hope everyone has an agreeable Wednesday.
