NORWESCON HO!!!

.....The programming grid is up for NORWESCON, and as I thought there is an emphasis this year on the whole Steampunk thing. I think that the costuming is going to be very interesting this year, that's for sure. I'm trying to convince TBT that should 'break into the NORWESCON ranks' by winning the masquerade one year. I think that at that point those who make up the panels will finally have her name at their fingertips. :-)

.....I am a little disappointed as it seems that the people who make up the panel listings have a reduced listing this year. But the flip side to that being that you can only go to so many panels at any given moment, right? :-) And there is still definitely a little something for everyone.

.....Is making me interested in going to Steamcon though and seeing just how far this Steampunk fashion thing can go.

.....We'll definitely stay the extra night this year. Last year we went there Wednesday night and left on Saturday, which meant checking out Saturday morning and taking off Saturday afternoon. I think that staying Saturday will allow us the chance to relax through Saturday and really enjoy the whole event.

.....I have to remember to ask TBT about whether she wants to put any fantasy based ruffs out for viewing in the Merchant's area. We know at least one of the merchants who'll be there. If TBT shows something there, I might throw out a few circlets as well and see if there are any takers. The nice thing about Fantasy / SciFi Conventions is that people there are generally willing to shell out a little more cash than those who attend SCA events. I think that it comes down to the fact that it generally costs quite a bit more to outfit yourself for the average SCA event than it does for the average SciFi Con. :-)
