.....Quite the jumble of thoughts tonight. Trying to get to some level of organization so I can get my brain to at least go in one direction. :-)

.....Saturday was the Clallam County Fairgrounds walk-through. It went rather well in retrospect. There must have been at least twelve people there. We verified that the packed sands of the Grandstand Arena will work as a fighting surface. That was a load off of my mind. Although it was replaced by the question of whether or not the Grandstand Arena actually looked the part. We may up moving the Erics to the Carnival area. But I'm still mulling it over in my head. The Martiallate Coordinator must have changed his own mind at least three or four times himself as to whether to use it or not. :-)

.....There is plenty of camping space! We walked from location to location. Now, the buildings interfere with the ambiance, and the different camping spaces are scattered. But we'll be able to make it work.

.....The only real question from the walk through was whether or not the baseball fields would be useable at all. We think there are sprinkler systems there which would disallow tent stakes. Which would make that space unusable for camping. We'll find out this week. But I'm sure there is something else we can use that space for. We'll just have to be creative. I'm still holding out hope that we can camp there. We were allowed to do so on the soccer fields in Bremerton, which had a sprinkler system installed. I still remember the June Faire where all the sprinklers turned on suddenly in the middle of the night. :-) Some right in the middle of some tents. :-)

.....Today we removed the washing machine from the basement. We never did like the front loading washer. I know that front loaders are the standard in the world today. But I just got tired of dropping clean and wet clothes on the floor while getting them into the dryer. It finally died yesterday. So we went to the Sears Outlet in Tacoma and paid for a discontinued model. TBT has to run to Kent tomorrow to pick it up. As long as she is feeling up to it. She was not feeling well today.

.....Lobelia arrived home today in preparation for the weekend. I'm soooo looking forward to a weekend at the Ocean. Lobelia sure needs a thorough cleaning though. Both inside and outside. I think we're going to take off a little early on Thursday and stop at the RV Bath in Belfair and see how much grime we can clean off of her.

.....But it means missing the Business Meeting on Thursday. I have not missed many, and feel immense amounts of guilt whenever I do. Which, maybe, is a good lesson. No one is indispensable. Me included. A reminder is needed ever now and then.

.....So, that means tomorrow night and Wednesday night for cleaning out Lobelia and packing her for the weekend. Tuesday is Fight Practice, with probably a Financial Committee Meeting involved as well. But only three days at work this week! Hope I can keep some sort of focus on the things happening there.

.....The weekend after is the SCA Board of Director's meeting over at SeaTac. It was interesting the last time they held the meeting in this area, and I'm looking forward to hearing from them again. It'll be good to see Master Ljotr as well. I think this is his last meeting as a Board Director. He'll take over his duties as Kingdom Seneschal here very soon.

.....The following weekend is shaping up to be a Bardic Gathering at Tim and Truly's on Bainbridge. That should be fun. I need to pull out the gemshorn and recorder.

.....The last weekend of the month has the Baronial Arts and Sciences Day scheduled. Looks like quite a few people will be showing up. I just hope the VFW Hall is going to be big enough for everything. The nice thing though is that since the date had to change for us the VFW folks are letting us have it all day and as far into the evening as we'd like. And we're only getting charged for an 8-hour day. Maybe we should have some sort of potluck or something?

.....That rounds out October. Already a full month. November is starting to fill up as well, already. I thought we were entering the slow season? :-)

.....Things Not To Be Forgotten This Week:
.....Heraldry At A&S Day? Must come to conclusion soon!
.....Crier Financial Report due by October 31st.
.....Must get two articles to Rycheza for inclusion in The Flames.
.....Must finish October B&B Letter.
.....Ping Gloria on status for Norseland site.
.....Keep an eye on what's happening at Yule.
.....Must, must, must make appointment to meet with Ellen on Sejeantry.
.....Must, must, must start making some progress on Ceremonials and Scroll Texts.
.....Must get Bridge Line and Agenda for Regional Pelican Meeting.

.....That's enough to keep me busy for at least this week.

.....Aaron / Arontius.
