A spreading light flows from the horizon
New life the body fills and warmth the soul
The excitement grows as the past lies in
A golden burst of light leaps like a foal.

My arms rise overcome in emotion
As much as they rise in supplication
The joy and beauty require devotion
By me is given in salvation.

My eyes adjust to messenger divine
As tears then stream in response to the smile
A gift of love she freely gives as mine
A present cherished as it does beguile.

This day of celebration is held dear.
My greatest fortune with me one more year.
