Speaking as an ex-Kingdom Chronicler and someone who occasionally takes a "break" from the SCA, I encourage you to consider that it'd be a Good Thing (tm) to take a breather, especially from responsibilities in the SCA, so you can enjoy the next year.
Life's too short not to enjoy it.
Better to take a break and then return than to burnout and never be heard from again.
And don't worry about losing your family and friends in the SCA. Like we'd ever let you get away or be out of touch for long!
