A Long Work Day.
.....Sigh! Monday was frustrating as I could have easily just phoned in my part to the day. A half dozen Captains spent the entire day arguing back-and-forth over whether or not the work should be done, should be done starting after Christmas, or should be done after the turn of the new year. By the time I made it home I was tired, grouchy and had a headache. Not a good way to start the Christmas week, and on the Soltice as well. Sigh!
.....Wish the weather were just a little nicer. I would have loved to have watched the Lunar Eclipse tonight.
.....Need to figure out a way to separate work from home more effectively. I had a whole list of things I wanted to get done this evening. Every time I sat down to get started though I kept falling asleep, or zoning out completely. It was precisely the thing I never liked about Shipyard workers when I was still in high school. The fact that the only things they seemed to do was work, vegetate in front of the television, sleep, and then repeat and repeat and repeat. I would love to be able to leave Michael at work, check in at home as Aaron, and get something done!
.....Hmmm, maybe the answer is to bring some of this to work instead. Half the Shipyard is away for their Holiday Curtailment Leave. I'm having to put a lot of work aside to wait until next year to start up again because of all the missing people. Maybe I just need to bring a thing or two to work that I can accomplish while I'm waiting for the Captains to figure out what they are going to do. That way I can actually come home thinking I actually accomplished something for a change. :-)
.....The Big Boss surprised us by starting off his Holiday Curtailment today. The Mid Level Boss said if things go the way he thinks they'll go he'll be able to let me out of Purgatory by Wednesday. I'm crossing my fingers. All I need is a little bit of luck.
.....Aaron / Arontius.
