.....It was a pretty good day at work today. I'm still rushing about madly, trying to catch up from being gone for a whole week while dealing with the Post-June-Faire-Hangover I have every year about this time. :-) But the Big Boss has been busy himself, and has been showing signs of moving into pre-retirement mode, so I've been relatively left alone.

.....I also started picking up work assignments from Code 360 yesterday and started digging into them today. I had forgotten how much relative fun the miscellaneous and emergent work world was. Especially in a good set of people who actually treat each other with a modicum of respect, and actually rather like each other. It was something of a breath of fresh air. I'm already trying to grab as much as I can in the hopes that I can just move myself over completely sooner rather than later. In the meantime I'm going to show them I can be a real asset to their cause.

.....Our neighboring Shire to the north have been giving me a little angst lately. Everything they say and do causes me to jump a little and second guess everything I do and say. I need to learn to stop doing that. Sophia is doing a good job at being their Seneschale. They are working hard at having their own brand of fun that fits their own needs. I guess I'm a little gun-shy still from some of the accusations that were leveled against us earlier this year. Some of them were pretty outrageous. I'd like to be a good neighbor and promote them and get our Barony involved in their activities. But at the same time I don't want any action on our part, no matter how slight, to be taken the wrong way. So I try hard to do and say nothing in regard to them. I don't think that is necessarily the best approach, and am mulling ideas. But I'm not in a hurry to actually take on a major tasks in regards to them.

.....I wish Sophia well though. And will definitely help with anything if asked.

.....June Faire wrap-up meeting tomorrow. Then there will be a public wrap-up. Then it will be time to pull together a new Board of Directors. I need to put out an advertisement asking for volunteers. It will not be a complete turnover thankfully. I think that Marquessa Laurellen is coming back. As is Madrun and Sophia. And Branwen I believe. Elisabeth has already volunteered to do the Camping Duties again, with Jahnkin as her back-up to take it over the following year. So we're two-thirds of the way home. I'll scout around for some fresh bodies for other positions. The Chairman position is still a little unclear. But there are options, especially depending on where June Faire is located next year.

.....Tomorrow is Friday and I am seriously looking forward towards the weekend. I'm going to relax and do everything at as slow a pace as possible. Although I do intend to finish cleaning up Lobelia so I can move her back into storage. I have to pick up the canvas from Master Ralg.

.....I have to get a haircut too. The Big Boss did mention this week how long and curly it has become. Usually a cue that I'd better do something about it before I start getting harrassed completely by the Captain. :-)

.....Also want to get the schedule set up on the I-Touch this weekend as well. TBT and I will finally be in sync then with future planning. I've been wanting to get that set up for a while now.

.....Gotta clean out the garage as well. It's a mess! :-)
