Obligatory Weekend Update.

.....It's strange sitting here in the living room and watching the rain fall like it is in August. But it is pleasant, and the cool weather is nice. I don't think the squirrel family out in the back yard likes it so much though. :-)
.....Friday evening was frustrating as we had to deal with a rampaging e-mail list. Haven't seen that kind of vitriol in a long time. Hope that it is not the start of something that will degrade even more with time. Sigh!
.....Saturday started out as a productive day. After our morning trip to Starbucks I went to work in the garage. June Faire was still all over the place and has made it hard to get around anywhere. But I bundled up all the pavilion hardware and put everything back in its place. It was amazing how much space opened up. We, almost, had enough open space to park a car in there. :-)
.....I was half expecting to unearth half a Baronial Storage Unit's worth of 'stuff'. But was pleasantly surprised to find only a handful of objects. Most notably though the fasteners to the torch towers. That would have been bad if that had been lost in my garage. Kassandra would have had my hide for lunch!
.....Loaded Madrun's pop-up (that managed to get buried in the garage for a month :-)), the handful of Baronial Stuff, and a box of Goodwill offerings, and made the rounds about town.
.....Had lunch at Gandhi's (mmmmmmm), then ran to Lowe's where we finished picking up the hardware for the two sunshades that TBT has been building. We picked up a nice black stain as well, which looked really nice when TBT used them later. It stained the lumber as dark as the paint I usually use on the other pavilion poles.
.....I wanted to get some stuff done on the computer, but when I sat down for a minute I took a nap. :-) The hour or two was rather nice, although I felt guilty. I should practice doing that more often.
.....TBT and I did the weekly shopping and I veg'ged for the evening. Totally lazy and nice day. They don't happen very often. Need to enjoy them more. :-)
.....TBT is still asleep this morning. Our morning Starbuck's run is going to be late today. Then it will be a shopping trip for Mom. Then a final run-through of the house to get all of Lobelia's stuff back into Lobelia. She gets moved back up to her home in Poulsbo today. I think the neighbors will be happy to see that. They haven't complained (at least that I've heard). But I think they are all getting tired of driving around her.
.....Wish someone in the local storage unit would give up on of their covered RV spaces.
.....Time to get busy...
.....Aaron / Arontius.

Date: 2010-08-08 03:49 pm (UTC)I don't think that going to happen... There are going to be minor flare-ups from time to time, but Fri's incident was deliberate provocation.
"The hour or two was rather nice, although I felt guilty. I should practice doing that more often."
I'm hoping you mean "practice doing nice things for yourself" rather than "practice feeling guilty".
:) :)

Date: 2010-08-08 06:46 pm (UTC)Just so I don't forget. Too many of the insert nuts have torn out, we need to replace them with t-nuts (and maybe longer bolts)
Something to be done before Junefair
