Lots Of Change.

.....I wrote out a check this evening to VPP in Tennessee for the September issue of The Crier. I was a little sad as we left the services of UMD in Idaho, a printer with whom we've been dealing for about five or so years. It was a smart move on THL Godith's part though really. VPP is cheaper and most of the other Kingdoms use them to print out their kingdom newsletters. But still, they are located at the other end of the country and UMD always gave me such personable service when I was Kingdom Chronicler.
.....Made me muse on all the changes coming on the horizon. Next month will be the Baronial Polling. No matter how it is decided an incredible amount of change will happen. I'll be stepping down as the Seneschal within the next six to nine months. I'm already in the process of stepping down as the Exchequer for The Crier. By this time next year I'll no longer be on the Baronial Check-Book for the first time in approximately fifteen years. Just those thoughts alone feel really strange.
.....Not to mention the fact that the Big Boss retires within a handful of months. Work will actually not be the burden it is now. It is just incredibly hard to imagine what it is going to be like going to work in an environment where you don't dread speaking to your management.
.....You know, 2011 looks like it might be an interesting year. Maybe even pretty good. :-) I'll drink to that. Just have to make sure that I'm the one driving the proverbial car and not the bug that is about to hit the windshield. :-)
.....Aaron / Arontius.
