A Good Day at the Con.

I had a lot of fun today at the Convention. Saw some of the work for the upcoming 'Prince Caspian' movie (new Narnia stuff); saw some period fencing (as in REALLY period); talked to some people who said that they were psychic; watched a lot of movie previews; listened to a lot of good filk music.
But I have to admit to a guilty secret about the thing that I'll probably remember the absolute most from today. I dropped into the Stardance this evening and was struck dumb by this fantastic looking woman in a red leather dress dancing enthusiastically with some of her friends. The torso portion was absolutely skin tight (almost looked painted on) and the skirt was VERY short. Nothing was left to the imagination (it wasn't difficult to tell that she wasn't wearing anything underneath). Red leather was a VERY good look on her. :-)
This was a good way to end the day. I went through today starting to think that I was getting old. I was seeing people that I've seen for the past fifteen years continuously at NORWESCON. I was starting to think that the Convention itself was becoming a Senior Citizen along with its members. It only takes a stroll through the hallways after dark to realize that this ain't necessarily true.
Somehow though, Red Leather and her friends did not look like the type that would be enticed to my room with talk of sonnet reading... :-)

Maybe I can hire you to be my tour guide and introduce me to the cool kids. Kind of like me playing the part of Patrick dempsey in the movie "Can't Buy Me Love". You can be the hawt cheerleader chick. ou know, if I get the sewing done.
