June Faire - 1993

.....I was looking for something else and ran across this picture. Talk about making one feel ancient! :-) This was taken at June Faire, 1993. Mateusz was the autocrat that year. Richard, 'Oaf' of Sussex, had convinced me that being a Constable at June Faire would be 'fun' and 'exciting' and 'a good way to meet people'. I'll admit that I was a regular SCA martyr in those years. I spent sixteen hours on gate on Friday, eighteen on Saturday, and twelve on Sunday. But I didn't know any better and thought that was what one did.

.....Yes, I was an idiot. :-)

.....And, I'm proud to say that *I* made those hideous clothes as well. Lots of polyester. YUM!!! :-) And, Holy Cow! I had HAIR!!!! I can see part of it on the back side of that wool mop I'm wearing on my head. :-) It was still a couple of feet in length in those days. :-)

.....The tall one is Oaf, the center of attention there is James Del Emrys. But I do not remember who the nice lady was.

.....This was at Frank Raab park in Poulsbo and we were in front of our brand new Constabulary Pavilion. Boy, we were sure proud of that thing. :-)

.....Dragon's Laire has come a long way since then. :-)
