Man! The Weekend Flew By Quick!
Apr. 18th, 2010 10:22 pm.....It's hard to believe that it's Sunday night and the start of a work week. What happened this weekend? Certainly not as much as I would have liked...
.....TBT and I did get to go out for Indian food on Friday at Gandhi's in Silverdale. It is still hard to believe that Silverdale has food this good. I had the Chicken and Mushrooms at four stars. I did a five star last time and it was at the edge of being too spicy to enjoy. This was just about perfect. With some Nan it was even better! Also had some Chai as Gandhi's makes it without adding sugar to their recipe. I have to add a little fake sugar, but it is quite good!
.....I tried to stay up and watch Project Runway, but I was tired and nodded right off. But I did wake up at 5AM on Saturday and took the opportunity to catch up on the episode I missed. I'm not sure I would have went with Mila. I thought her ensemble was boring when compared to Jay. But Jay's was a little further 'out there' than I thought was tasteful. But then, what the hell do I know about fashion?
.....TBT and I did our usual Starbucks run, early enough where we missed the usual throngs. Then we stopped by the store for Creme Broule supplies. By the time we made it home the morning was almost gone and we hurried to catch up on chores. I started some laundry and probably should have cleaned, but was mesmerized with the prospect of clearing up e-mails.
.....I made pretty good progress. I started out with close to 1,500 messages in the inbox and ended out the morning with about 980. I was rather happy at that. Although I'm going to have to spend a day or so soon doing some real work to cut this number down.
.....After taking TBT to her clay session with Gwen and Madrun (and lunch) I came back to face the agenda for the upcoming Regional Pelican Meeting. I updated the Candidates Entries and put together the agenda for the next meeting. Took me about two and a half hours to get this all put together. But I felt rather accomplished when I finally sent out a note to the list letting everyone know the agenda was posted and candidates were updated. Also plugged the need for people to review the database themselves and put in updates accordingly.
.....Regional Meetings this Thursday. And it will be in Dragon's Laire proper. I'm rather surprised. But I gave everyone the opportunity to come up with a different day, time and location. We really couldn't wait much longer. It has been way too long since our last meeting and May Crown is coming like a freight train in the tunnel.
.....Had a good dinner of Fried Chicken with Gwen. I think we were all craving some 'bad for you' fried food. Then we watched Talia's major Motion Picture debue, 'Zombies of Mass Destruction'. It was BAD! But thankfully an MST3K BAD, so lots of good additional dialogue. THL Eric de Dragonslaire makes an appearance in the movie as a zombie who gets destroyed with a gas powered week whacker. I suppose we should have been horrified by the blood and gore. But seeing Eric lose his head to a weed whacker is, is, as funny as you think it might be. :-)
.....Even less was done today. I did take Mom out shopping, which took a little longer than normal as we went shopping for cat posts. It seems Mom's new cat likes to sun herself in the Living Room window, but is not the best at staying aware of her surroundings as she keeps falling to the floor while asleep. :-) But we did find a good one and it didn't take Esmerelda long at all to find out the joys of sunning herself on a carpetted post. :-)
.....By the time I made it back home, I found Raphaella and Melusine deep in conversation with TBT. I tried to stay out of their way and get things done. When they left though we were both quite hungry, so we went to the local 'Mizu-Like' Japanese Steakhouse. Mmmmm, yum, yum.
.....What's on tap for the week? I've got to get my first quarter Seneschal's to finish. Need to start packing up for two weeks in Indiana and Florida. Need to get the May Business Meeting squared away as I will not be in attendance. Only six more weeks to June Faire! Damn! That thing is looming large in all of our collective thoughts.
.....Starting to fall esleep now. Time for bed!
.....Aaron / Arontius.
