Zombie-fied In Chicago.
Apr. 26th, 2010 05:01 am.....I'm almost there. I'm in Chicago waiting for my next flight. It still always amazes me just how big O-Hare is!!!!
.....American Airlines did a good job by me. I was favorably impressed. After having United lose my luggage at least once on every trip, I was determined to jump through whatever hurdles were required to not have to use them again. Which is tough when you work for the DOD. United contracts to the government with impunity! But luckily I found this flight which was cheaper than the equivalent United and DTS gave it to me after a lengthy justification process. :-)
.....But at midnight the plane was full of tired and cranky passengers who were not very polite, and no matter how rude they became the stewardesses were polite and patient. I was impressed.
.....I zonked right out even before the plane took off and didn't even realize where I was until the Captain switched on the cabin lights and announced we were about to land. So I did manage to get in three good hours of sleep. I'm kind of zombie-fied though. I'll need to be careful getting from INdianapolis to Bloomington.
.....I think I picked up some sort of stomach thing though. Not bad, just annoying. I haven't eaten much over the past twenty four hours. Just tried to finish a bagel sandwich and even though it smelled good I just wasn't interested. Which isn't me. I live for food. :-) Maybe I just need my daily dose of fiber. :-)
.....I am looking forward to the drive though. The last time I went to Crane they flew me in to Evansville and made me drive to Crane. This time I'm coming in through Indianapolis and I've never been there before. I like going places that are new and different. It'll be fun.
.....Was just about to call TBT and realized that it's only about 5AM there. She probably wouldn't appreciate the phone call, even if I told her I was missing her. :-)
.....Aaron / Arontius.
