Saturday Preparations.
Jul. 10th, 2010 07:54 am.....For me it's all about preparations for July Coronation. I think I'm going to grab Lobelia and see if I can get her a bath in the RV Wash in Belfair. Better pack some extra change for that excursion I think. :-)
.....Although I am at least slightly intrigued about the plans some people are making to stay at the local hotel. If I'm remembering the right site, the hotels are really not that far away. The thought of having a comfortable and soft bed that I don't have to make, and a really good shower are very tempting. But not having a real home on site is not that much fun either. And the thought of having to travel back-and-forth is definitely NOT intriguing. So I'm still more in the 'taking Lobelia' column than not.
.....I also wouldn't mind staying in a pavilion for the weekend. The weather is looking like it is going to be temperate. Still somewhat on the warm side, but not the upper '90's or 100's we were all worried on it being. And with a river nearby to jump into for some cooling, this is a thought as well. But TBT would not have a good time with any sort of bed we could bring. So I think this option is dead as well. But TBT has been looking at bed options for the future, so maybe pavilion camping is not something that can only be done when she is not there. I'm hopeful at any rate.
.....I guess I'll also have to hope the RV Parking is not located in Outer Mongolia next weekend.
.....So, a bath for Lobelia. Then a thorough clean out of the insides. Have to pull the linens from the bed and get them washed. There is a pile of bath linens and towels that have to go back into Lobelia.
.....The bathroom has to be cleaned out completely. I think I need to go through the drawers in there as well. There are tubes of toothpaste, sunscreen, deodorant, etc. that are many years old and probably no longer in any sort of useable condition. Might even give us some more space for other things.
.....The refrigerator worked like a dream at June Faire. I predict ice cream for July Coronation. :-) Need to remember to through a bad of ice in there as well. Might come in handy in case the heat does end up being a little higher than anticipated.
.....Need to remember to clean the carpets and mop the floor. The dust bunnies under the couch were pretty intense.
.....After that, it'll be time for pack up. I think it'll take most of the weekend to get to that point. But if Lobelia is parked out front, we can keep the packing going on all week.
.....I'm hoping to get a rather early start on Friday. If I can get out of town just after the Friday morning commute in Seattle, I think it will be a relatively pleasant drive. Vulcanfeldt is not a hugely long drive really. Although September Crown will be even better. :-)
.....Oooo, need to remember to fill the water tank as well.
.....Hope that TBT gets up here shortly, I want to get the day going. :-)
.....Aaron / Arontius.
