Take A Deep Breath...

.....Sigh! It's hard to be romantic with your spouse when a 14-year old lives in the house with you. Just sayin'...
.....I think I'm ready for the work week. I have laundry to last a couple of days (with more in the process). Clothes are laid out for tomorrow. A path has been cleared between the bedroom, computer room and the kitchen. I feel accomplished in the fact I actually cleaned the kitchen and cat boxes today. :-)
.....But I think I'm coming down with something. My throat is getting scratchy and I'm coughing a little. I thought I had escaped this round of sickness with just a few days of a stuffy nose the week before last, but maybe I didn't. Hope it doesn't get too bad. But maybe a day or two of sick leave usage would be nice. I haven't actually 'slept in' for a while now and it would be kind of luxorious to do so. :-)
.....Holly and Ivy in the Shire of Druim Doineann was on Saturday and was relatively well attended by the Baronial Populace. The Tournament was fun to watch and the Barony was well represented in it. The classes scheduled did not succeed as the Shire A&S Minister wanted, but it looked like people had fun anyway.
.....Today we inventoried the Heated Storage Unit with Richard and Master Ralg. It looked dauntingly packed when the door was first opened. But with just a little bit of organization it reduced to the point you could actually get around in it.
.....No treasures or long term missing items were found, which was disappointing. But there is always the large, unheated, unit still to organize. Hopefully we'll find out missing 'stuff' and other long-forgotten treasures in it.
.....And once again I dealt with my own internal frustration at how we deal with historical treasures and items collected over the years. I don't know that there is any real solution to the problem, but I miss some of the stuff we may never see again. Master Ralg reminded me of the Baronial Charter which was signed by the Crown and sealed, indicating official recognition as a Barony of An Tir. It is probably still in Maria's possession, which is sad. Then there are all the heraldic reference sources and records that were lost while Ceinan was the Baronial Herald. There are lots, too many, other examples.
.....I actually felt guilty at first, when I asked Her Excellency Siobhan if I could keep some artwork she drew for the cover of The Crier one year while I was the Baronial Chronicler. It was beautifully done. Probably should have gone to Grete Boke or similar archives, but I have it hanging on the wall in the hallway of the house. I think it looks pretty good there, and I definitely don't feel guilty for having it any more. :-)
.....There are maybe two days of meetings this week, or only one if I stay home on Fight Practice night. But I need a few more days of just vegitating for a while. Next weekend is a three day weekend, WITH NOTHING SCHEDULED!!! I'm so looking forward to it!
.....The weekend after is the Madrone A&S Championship. We're slated to attend and it'll be interesting to see their method of judging for comparison on contrasting with our new model. I'd very much like to sit down with Madrun and brainstorm over improvements to our Bardic Championship model. I liked what I witnessed at our Championship at Candlemas, but there are definitely a few things I want to add to round it out. Would like to do that while I still remember them. :-)
.....Need to turn up the heat on September Crown issues this week. The various land-owners are dragging their feet on giving me answers to using their parcels, much less how much they want to charge me for that use. I think I may have to start camping outside their offices to get some answers.
.....Starting to get sleepy. I think it is time for bed. Zzzzzzzzzzzzz.........
.....Aaron / Arontius.
