Thursday - Beware of Rats!

.....One of the things that frustrates me about working at the Shipyard is that I don't have access to my personal e-mail and that I have limited access to the Internet (re: usage is monitored and excessive usage is questioned). So I end up trying to concentrate on work when LJ is exploding and I'm getting phone calls from friends giving me snippets of information. I get all worked up in a lather so that I can go home and answer a whole lot of questions, just to find out that all of those questions have been answered at least five different ways. Sigh! :-)
.....The Beloved Tamm was certainly on a mission, that is for sure. Never tick her off, I've been warned. The consequences could be painful. She's smart and not afraid to dig into any situation to set things right. If she champions your cause, be assured that your cause is about to travel to Nirvana at light speed. :-) I forgot to check, did her big LJ entry end up with over 100 comments?
.....Just for the record, Fearga, I think that you are a neat-o and wonderful person yourself. Add me to your fan club. :-) Just wish that things with KAS had worked out differently. But at least I'll still be able to give you a hug at Twelfth Night.
.....Is this an indication of life at the Shipyard or what. A huge RAT was seen going from the food storage / prep area of the office over into my cubical space. It was described as black and about the size of a small coffee can. Eeewwwww!!!! Now there are signs posted everywhere around my desk and work area warning people to put food in the proper receptacle and to not feed the rats. You wouldn't believe the number of people who have stopped in to ask if I've named the rat and what I feed the thing to keep it so huge! :-)
.....The first time I saw one of the wharf rats here at the shipyard, I was mucking out sand underneath one of the drydocks. I saw this thing coming down the corridor and at first I would have sworn that it was a medium sized cat. That's what I thought I was seeing at first. When it scampered just a little closer, that's when I noticed the tail. THAT was NOT a cat! They grow huge here in Bremerton.
.....Can you believe that there are only seven more days until Thanksgiving? Where did the time go this year. Holy Cow!
.....Be careful out there today.
.....Aaron / Arontius.

Date: 2007-11-15 08:02 pm (UTC)I totally *feel* your pain. We've the same situation her at Mother B's...
so often I don't comment at all, 'cept for what I can squeeze in during lunch, or a hasty early morning peak about. By the time I get into the conversation, the moment has mostly passed... ;-( *fume*
