.....In retrospect it seems sooooo appropriate for Hallowe'en. :-) Went in for a check-up and cleaning yesterday and was complaining about how the left side of the mouth was giving me some problems. Well, the dentist, being the nice guy that he is, had a few X-Rays done and then came back and said, 'What are you doing this afternoon?' Ack! Seems as there was only a thin layer of toothy matter between my mouth and the nerve. Root Canal time!

.....What timing! The new insurance plan will kick in, IN JANUARY. And the current one pays very, very little. I asked about the chances of waiting until January and the dentist told me that it was going to be an emergency root canal well before then, so it was now or wait for the most INconvenient time to have it done. Sigh! I opted for yesterday afternoon. Took him about an hour and a half or so. Cost $644. Ouch!

.....I was sooooo out of it on the way home, I don't even remember the trip. Crawled into bed, turned off all the lights and slept like the dead. Never even heard if any trick-or-treaters knocked at the door. But I did have all the lights off, so they couldn't have been too disappointed.

.....Was bummed though that I missed the trip to the beloved Laurellen's house for Hallowe'en. I really wanted to see Rhys' Godzilla Rabbit costume. :-) Every time I hear about it I think of the Bugs Bunny episode where Bugs drinks the Dr. Jeckel / Mr. Hyde formula and turns into that buff green rabbit. :-)
