.....So, I was putting together a load of laundry on Sunday and I had less than half a load of whites and a red bed cover. I looked at the cover and it looked older and faded and I say to myself, 'Self, let's do the right thing and make a full load by placing this blanket into the wash. It's older and faded, it shouldn't affect anything.'

.....So, fast forward a couple of hours later when I'm folding my clothes and putting them away. My white underwear is now a bright-ish pink, a little lighter shade of Pepto-Bismal. Eeewwww! But I'm saying to myself, 'Self, no one is going to see this. Go ahead and put them in the drawer.' Well, actually, I wish I could claim to have thought something that intelligent. :-)

.....Fast forward again, it's Monday. In the morning I'm out of the shower and groping in the dark for underwear and not thinking at all about what I'm wearing and, of course, I put on a pair of the pink underwear. Later in the day I'm working on trying to clear out some file cabinets and part of my underwear is peaking over the top of my pants, and of course my co-workers see it. It definitely pushed their humor button and left it on for the rest of the freakin' day!

.....Lesson's Learned:
.....1.) NEVER! NEVER! NEVER! Place red colored fabrics with your whites! You can never assume that it is not going to bleed, no matter how innocent it looks!
.....2.) Never underestimate the need of your co-workers to exploit those things that they can about you to bring humor into their day.

.....At least it wasn't a blue feather or something....
