June Faire Eve - Eve.
Jun. 1st, 2010 11:17 pm.....The pre-June Faire run-up begins tomorrow, and the true insanity begins. :-)
.....Last June Faire meetings happened today, immediately followed by the last Baronial Business Meeting prior to June Faire. There was a lot of tension to start the evening, but things felt a lot better towards the end. I'm thinking that a little communion to ease and share the fear, and feed the excitement of the moment at the same time, seemed to help everyone a bit.
.....The ever-growing 'to-do' list:
Wednesday:
1.) Deliver check to Party Rental store in Poulsbo and make final arrangements for dlivery of (19) tables and (45) chairs.
.....Talia is going to set up a pavilion to protect said tables and chairs on site until they can be set up.
.....Deliver check to Storage Unit for Lobelia.
2.) Follow-up on Gate Contract with Dragon's Mist.
3.) Deliver check for straw bales to Del's in Port Orchard. Verify delivery on Thursday.
4.) Finalize shopping List.
5.) Finalize June Faire Check-List.
6.) Pack 12x12 pavilion with awning.
7.) Pull out canvas day shade and ensure all parts are available. Pack it in U-Haul when available.

9.) Finish laundry and start final packing inside house.

12.) Pick-up U-Haul at noon.
13.) Load U-Haul with materials I have at home (i.e. signs).

Friday
* FUN BEGINS
* Remember to discuss web-site with Yvon.
.....The one thing I need to keep reminding myself is that we WILL have volunteers and it is important that you always have a task for them to do when they ask for one. So don't get worked up about getting everything set up NOW, NOW, NOW.
.....The weather report for Wednesday does not look good. But the Board brain-stormed a good alternative to painting the lines for the Marketplace and the Arts & Sciences Village. We pulled the little flags and tape rolls from the Storage Unit this evening and will use them to mark out space. I think it will work. I'm actually finally glad to only have 30 - 35 merchants in the Marketplace this year as it will be much easier to mark out and control. Although I sigh when I think that. Having (70) merchants was a lot of work, but also a source of pride. It's all about trade-offs I guess.
.....June Faire buzz, commencing. :-)
.....Aaron / Arontius.
